As I understand it, it uses the default windows display as the playfield, which I am seeing, screen 3, but it thinks my dmd display is screen 3 rather than my playfield monitor. Screenres.txt allows me to specify which monitor is my back glass, but not which one is my playfield. So when I start a game, the playfield is displayed on the dmd display, the backglass is on my playfield display (because I set screenres.txt to have display 2 as the backglass), and the dmd appears at an offset on the playfield display (again because of offset setting in screeenres.txt). In vpx, video settings shows (based on screen resolution that appears in the drop down) my backglass monitor as screen 1, playfield monitor as screen 2, and dmd monitor as screen 3, with an asterisk next to the screen 3 indicating the primary monitor. This is setup according to vpx install instructions. I have the screens laid out in display settings 3->2->1 so offsets are positive. My windows display options are configured with screen 3 as playfield, screen 2 as backglass, and screen 1 as dmd. Every vpx install instruction Ive read says the playfield should be the main windows display. Thanks for responding! Sorry if I wasnt clear as to my problem. I’m hoping there is some registry setting or config file where I can manually configure vpx with the correct display configuration. I’ve tried all kinds of tricks involving plugging and unplugging monitors but no luck. As a result running vpx shows the vpx table on my dmd display. In other words, vpx shows the resolution of my playfield as display 1 while windows has it as display 3. I’ve since installed pinup player as a front end and at some point vpx changed video display sequence identifying My playfield as display1. When I installed vpx, it’s video settings saw the displays matching windows display numbers. My playfield is plugged into the only hdmi port on my video card and no matter what order I plug them in or boot with, the playfield is always display 3. Windows tells me my plyfield is display 3, back glass is display 2, and dmd is display 1. I am building a visual pinball cab with 3 monitors and have hit an issue that I have scoured vpforum for but have found no resolution. ![]()
